OUR STORY, OUR FARM
Our farm is located in Essex County in Ontario the most southern point of Canada with 15 US States north of us. I am the 6th generation on our family farm. Our family has been on our land nearly 200 years, since the year 1827. Our farm is family owned and operated by myself and my wife with the help from my father and my son. We live and breath agriculture and are very passionate about what we do. We follow Best Management Practices set out by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture. We are certified agricultural exterminator, professionally trained to purchase and apply pesticide on our farm. We have an Environmental Farm Plan that first started nearly 20 years ago and is now on its 4th version and is the driving force behind many changes. We care for and are strong stewards of the land and the environment. Our livelihood is 100% dependent on the land, the environment and mother nature.

Precision Agriculture
Precision Farming has changed how we farm. GPS auto-steer helps us be much more efficient with planting and pesticide/fertilizer applications with no overlaps in the field. Controlled drainage water management reduces the flow of fertilizers into the surface waters. The data collected by GPS Yield maps, soil sampling maps, DRONE flight maps all help us create management zones in the fields. These management zones then get variable rate fertilizer application, as each zone requires. This is all very advanced technologies and benefits our environment tremendously!!!
